Warren Berkey is a writer, filmmaker, and artist.
He studied painting and sculpture at the University of California, Berkeley, where in 2000 he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Art Practice. He went on to earn his Master of Fine Arts in Filmmaking from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts in 2007.
He has written and directed two award-winning short films, Future Perfect (2006) and The Long Way Home (2008). In 2009, Warren edited the documentary short Out of Infamy: Michi Nishiura Weglyn, which was honored with a Special Jury Mention at the 2010 Tribeca Film Festival. From 2009 to 2011, he worked as a director and producer with Cold Tofu Improv on a new media comedy project entitled Umamiya, about an unlikely girl group and their eccentric manager.
Most recently, he directed the pilot episode for Foodcore, a cooking show produced by and featuring Adam Fleischman of the Umami Restaurant Group.
Warren currently lives in Culver City, CA with his wife and two daughters.
